Mariel E. Alper
Former Fellow
Mariel Alper, PhD, is a former Research Fellow with the Robina Institute. While at the Institute, she conducted research on the Probation Revocation project and the Parole Release and Revocation project.
Mariel received a PhD in criminology and criminal justice from the University of Maryland and a master's in applied sociology from Old Dominion University. Her research focuses on parole, gender, community effects, victimization, and the use of administrative data. Her dissertation examined gender and the community effects on recidivism during parole.
