Minnesota Criminal History Score Recidivism Report
In November of 2016, the Robina Institute of Criminal Law and Criminal Justice commenced a project with the assistance of the Minnesota Sentencing Guidelines Commission to analyze the relationship between the criminal history score in the Minnesota Sentencing Guidelines and offender recidivism. The goals of the project were to examine how well Minnesota’s guidelines predict re-offending, to identify components of the score that do not add to its predictive validity, and to examine the relationship between the criminal history score and recidivism type.
