Robina Annual Conference
Crime and Justice in America, 1975-2025
On April 26, 2012, the Robina Institute, with support from the National Institute of Justice, held a public conference at the University of Minnesota Law School looking at the development of criminal justice research and policy in the United States. Nine internationally prominent scholars gave talks on the subjects of gun violence and gun control, policing, rehabilitation, sentencing, race and crime, drugs, and youth violence. Attended by members of the public, University of Minnesota Law School faculty and students, local practitioners, and invited scholars from around the world, the conference topics relate to chapters for a related volume of the journal Crime and Justice. On April 27-28, the conference speakers and twenty invited scholars convened to discuss the chapter topics and share insights.
